USVI Transfer Day
« on: 03/31/1009:20AM »
Happy Transfer Day, everyone!

On March 31st, 1917, the Danish West Indies, a group of 3 islands and various outerlying keys were transferred from Danish possession to the USA (mostly for military advantage). St. Thomas, St. John, St. Croix, and now Water Island (recently recognized as the offcial fourth Virgin Island) are now known as "America's Paradise" and are home to over 100,000 proud Caribbean-Americans. :D
You learn more about a road by traveling it than by consulting all of the maps in the world.

I did not know that! I guess the old saying that you learn something new every day is true. I would love to go visit our Caribbean-American neighbors, it looks beautiful there! I have never seen water so clear and blue.
